D.K.T.E. Society’s
The genesis and growth of the institute was a sequel to the intense desire and
support from the powerful co-operative sector. Keeping in view the fabric of
social responsibility Mr. K.B. Awade, former Member of Parliament & Educationist, Philanthropist and a staunch supporter of the co-operative
movement, founded D.K.T.E. Society’s Textile & Engineering Institute at
Ichalkaranji in 1982.
The Institute has been classed as “A” grade by the Expert Committee of
Govt. of maharasthra. Impressed by the excellent infrastructure, very high
academic standards & quality research being carried out. The National
Board of Accreditation committee (NBA) set up by AICTE granted
accreditation to Textile Courses, Mechanical Engg. & Electronics Engg.
Courses. Further the Institute has been certified as ISO 9001 : 2000
organisation. The Institute has been offering following services to Textile
Industry.

The establishment of R & D center at D.K.T.E. Society’s textile & Engineering Institute under the Ichalkaranji Textile Development Cluster will provide immense benefits to spinning, weaving, knitting, processing, garmenting & all other allied sectors in achieving world class quality, improving productivity so as to enable them to face the global compection.
